Hi Everyone! I've been married for a little over 2 months now and am just getting around to doing reviews, but better late than never:) I really wanted to do this because so many reviews helped me over the past 2 years. Sorry in advance for the lengthy reviews....
Dresses- A/B- My dress was purchased last year from a store that was closing down. I got a great deal (1/2 off!) for a Maggie Sottero. The only problem was that it was a size 14 and their seamstress had to take it to a 4! She did a great job & you honestly can't tell that it was ever a different size. We also purchased MIL's dress there.
Bridesmaids dresses is where the B comes in. We used David's Bridal in Deptford. I didn't want to go there b/c of problems that you hear, but they are the only place that carries a lot of different sizes for ppl to try on and I wanted everyone to be comfortable with the purchase. We made an appt. which didn't even matter b/c the place was packed and they gave us one dressing room for 8 girls to share! The dresses ended up looking good though.
Tuxes-Men's Warehouse- B- Everyone got their tuxes on or ahead of time, but we had a little incident a few weeks before when we realized they had some things wrong that we picked, but they were able to fix it.
Flowers- London Creative- A++- This is a small warehouse type place in Philly. We got a GREAT deal. The flowers were all beautiful and they were EVERYWHERE. The price is a package deal and included everything (my bouquet, 8 bridesmaids bouquets, bouts., center pieces, church pieces, cocktails tables, pew bows, bathroom basket, card table, gift table, etc., etc.) The only downfall is that the place that you meet is a warehouse & they don't seem very organized, but it was wonderful in the end.
Lucien's Manor- A+- Lucien's was great! They were accommodating & everything turned out beautiful! We had the Venetian room upstairs, which is nice b/c it's away from the hustle & bustle downstairs w/ the other rooms. All of our guests can't stop raving about how beautiful everything was & how delicious the food was.
Photobooth Center (located in Moorestown)- A++- We booked this last minute. Janet (owner) was soo nice & accommodating! This was def. a HUGE hit at our wedding. The quality of pictures were great and every person who goes in gets a pic! Most just give you one for the group. We were extremely pleased w/ everything.
Make-Up- Stephanie Casasanto- A+- My make-up was beautiful. I got airbrush & my face looked flawless!(which it isn't:) I didn't have to touch up one thing that day besides lipstick! She is great!
Hair- Serenity Salon- Patty & Liz- A+- I love, love, love my hairdresser Patty! She did a fabulous job & was patient w/ multiple trials & pictures:) Liz did some of the girls hair & they all loved it & looked great!
Photographer- Something Blue Photography- B- I've seen my proofs online & what we have looks good, but we were hoping for more bridal party shots. My mom was also pretty upset b/c there was only one pic of her & my stepdad together. I asked him about it & he was able to come up with a few more. Of course we haven't even finished picking our pics for the album.
Videography- Jack Otepka- B I haven't seen my video yet, but I can say that they called the day before to confirm times & had everything wrong. We signed a contract that said they would be at my mom's house while I was getting ready, but they seemed to forget about that. We got everything straightened out, but they seemed absolutely miserable the entire time.
Limo- Big League Limo- C- We used them for the bachelor party, which was fine & for the day of the wedding. The owner & guy you deal w/ on the phone are rude & not very organized. We had quite a few issues w/ communication up until the wedding. They were getting times & addresses wrong & telling us that they would call & our phones weren't working! (not true) However, the day of the wedding they were on time & got us to where we needed to be.
Shuttle Service- Park Ave Limo- D- We used them for the bachelorette party & to shuttle ppl to & from the hotel. The limo busses both times were either dirty or the equipment wasn't working properly (air conditioner, door, exhaust fumes in the vehicle, etc.) They were supposed to give us a discount for the shuttle after the horrible experience from the bachelorette party, but it was far from a discount. Also, the driver backed into a pole while we were all on the bus & tried to say it was a curb! Horrible!!! NEVER use this company!!!!
