  You definitely have to have someone there the day of that knows how to do-up a corset back correctly and make sure to tuck it into your dress (not tying it into a bow) but it shouldn't be all that difficult really.

  My dress has a corset. Let me be the first to say it is a pain to lace up if you dont have someone that knows what they are doing. But, my lovely MOH found a tutorial on youtube and can now lace it like a pro. I personally love the look, and that is holds everything in!

  It is a pain to lace up and needs to be done properly, as long as you take the person with you who will be doing it up on the day to your fittings and have someone there show them how to do it you should be fine

  I was happy my dress had a corset tied back as it really helped emphasize my waist. Take two people with you to your fittings and have the seamstress show them how to lace up the correctly, and have them practice at each of your fittings. 

  
  

  I emphasize to have two people specifically be shown how to do it, incase one person forgets or has issues with it on the day of. Leave plenty of time for getting into your dress so that whoever is helping you tie it has time to get it right, and so that you or your friend/mom/whoever won't feel rushed or stressed in the process. 

  
  

  My corset was tight all day and stayed completely in place until I took the dress off. 

  
  

  ETA: Assuming your dress is tied correctly, it will be very tight fitting all day. For me, this limited very deep breaths, and being able to able bend over easily - as changing my shoes and putting on my garter. Those were the only disadvantages I had with it, but was willing to deal with it, even when my mom said she make it looser for me.

  I loved mine. My dress was originally zipper and I had it converted, my seamstress didn't give my any issues about doing it. So glad I did because my weight was going up & down within 5 pounds the whole month of the wedding so it helped to make sure it fit well. I'll admit I probably had my MOH tighten my corset once or twice during the day (but it was also after dancing too).
  
  I had two BM come to fitting & it was explained to them it's like lacing a shoe. Make sure ribbon is even, I held my dress in the position I wanted it, she would do four rows of loops and tighten, four rows of loops and tighten. At the end she tied the bottom (I foget how, seamstress told her how) and she tucked it into my dress so no one saw the ribbons.  It did take some time for her to get it done because she was make sure not to twist the ribbon along the way so it all laid nice. But it added such a beautiful touch to the back of the dress.
  
  If it's what you want and your seamstress won't do it, find another seamstress.
