Dyeing silk flowers?

Anyone done this before of know if this is a realistic idea? My wedding colors are black and white and a dark teal/turquoise color.  I can find any flowers that color,so I am considering trying fabric dye.  Crazy?

    Why do your flowers have to match your wedding colors?  Can't you use flowers that coordinate but not exactly match?  Like say, pinks (either bright or pale), yellows or even reds?

    Honestly, I find that when people use silk flowers in colors that do not naturally occur in real life then they look even more fake...but that is my opinion.
