Bright Yellow BMdress - WHAT color shoes?

Hi - I am in a wedding next year where our dresses are a bright bright bright yellow - Calvin Klein strapless sundress, the color is "Sunray" - think -->

that color! The bride suggested white strappy sandals, but in the realm of practicality, I am hoping to persuade her to pick another color shoe that I can wear more often in the summer... I am thinking silver or nude? Is silver too cool of a color to go with yellow? Black might look too bumble-bee-ish? Will nude be difficult to find in a sandal? Thanks for the suggestions in advance!

I second the "every woman should have a pair of silver strappy sandals". Mine are referred to as the Disco Shoes.

Nude would work because it works with everything and makes your legs look longer (always a bonus), silver or perhaps pewter, or for a colour pop clash a sky blue against the yellow but that would depend on the bride's colour scheme.

I think that nude or actually a metallic gold would look best. Many times the metallic gold will blend in easily like the nude...sometimes even better - won't show up as much as silver

Metallic is a safe bet, I think either silver or gold! Bu nude platform peep-toe would look great and give the dresses a trendy touch! Nude has my vote!!

Neutrals are always best for a bridesmaid shoe. I think silver, gold, or bronze would all work.

I definitely think black (not bumblebee at all- very modern and classy!) or navy blue. But I am NOT a fan of light/ neutral shoes. I'm pasty and my feet always look red- the lighter the shoe, the worse my feet look!

I would go with Black/Navy or Silver. Does the bride have another color she is incorporating with the yellow? Maybe you could try to find shoes in that color.

What are the wedding colors? You could totally wear the colors for the wedding. If that's not an option, I would totally vote for teal or navy blue!

Wow! Thanks everyone! Great advice - I will definitely pass this information along to the bride! I hadn't thought of a more colorful shoe since the dress color is so busy. The dress along with flowers that will probably be several colors, I think a colorful shoe might be over-doing it. I think I prefer a metallic myself - and totally agree about "every woman should have a pair of silver strappy sandals..." I already own a pair that would take the "disco shoes" title too! haha. Now, gold or silver...gold or silver!

@ llamallamaduck - not the same dress, but I believe that's the same color!
