In Season Flowers for September in Chicago?

I am getting married at the end of September in the Chicago area.  My colors are dark red and silver.  Does anyone know what flowers are in season and might look good?  The wedding is at a park with a lake, if that helps :).  Thanks!!

www.beau-coup.com/wedding-flowers-bridal-bouquets-arrangements has an entire column (as does Theknot probably) of not only what flowers are in season, but also has a nice list of "meaningful" flowers-------apple blossoms mean good fortune, etc.,.....I am sure if you simply "google" Fall seasonal flowers, or something of that nature---you will get a wealth of information.

Your florist should be able to get any flower you want. Roses are always in season.

And the whole time, my future husband was in the room...... image image

I'm also getting married at the end of September and my colors are dark red (think garnet or cranberry) and tangerine.  I'm getting dahlias, hydrangeas and celosia in the red color.

Ditto pp on the roses, dahlias, and hydrangeas.  I think Hydrageas are a more expensive fall flower, but since they are so full, you can you less.
