Re: Monday Accountability

  • We are doing this for the past weekend right? And then we are doing today's accountability in tomorrow's post? Or do I have this backwards.

I'm gonna do the weekend recap since that's what I think should be happening, if I'm wrong, I'll update for today later.

This weekend was NOT good. I went out for a seafood dinner on Friday and ate garlic break, fried Calamari, and a few french fries. I had pasta for lunch too. Ugh, I feel fat just thinking about it.

Sat I went to the movies, and of course had popcorn, but didn't add the butter. (big deal) Has a small steak for dinner but a big potato croquet. Went to a party and drank a lot of beer, had 2 cupcakes, and a few chips.

Sunday I skipped lunch, but ate chips and dip instead, yuck. Dinner I was good, had a small steak, only one red potato, and big serving of mixed veggies. I did have a piece of Italian bread though. The carbs are my biggest enemy.

OMG, posting this is really embaressing. I have some work to do. Ugh. :( On a better note, I was just getting ready to have lunch, and I've totally ruined my appetite for anything greasy/carb-y, bad for me after reading back what I consumed this weekend.

  • My weekend was mediocre. I did okay, but not as horrible as I usually do on the weekends. My exercise consisted of shopping. Does dinking wine count?

That is all. Tomorrow I will post real food and exercise updates.

rmp, we're an update from the previous day. In this case, Mondays are weekend updates.

  • I ate pretty well over the weekend, nothing bad but not the best either.  Yesterday we walked to a diner for breakfast, it is a little less than a mile away.  This morning I went to Zumba and she did all new dances, so I had no idea what I was doing the whole hour.
  • This weekend I was still working, so food was provided (accept for dinner), but I managed to be as good as possible.

Saturday: Breakfast = scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, fresh fruit, coffee with non dairy creamer & ONE cinnamon french toast stick. Lunch = breaded chicken breast, mixed green salad w/ lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, olives & balsamic vinegrette, mac & cheese, chocolate cupcake and two bottles of water. Dinner = half turkey sandwich on wheat bread, iced tea. After Dinner Snack = coconut gelato (my super weakness!) Exercise = hiking out in the woods between set and my trailer, while schlepping my chair and set bags all day.

Sunday: Breakfast = coffee with non dairy creamer. Lunch = grilled chicken breast, cole slaw, potato salad, two pieces of corn bread and one bottle of water. Dinner = rotisserie chicken (about a cup), wild rice & pecan salad (cold) w/ cranberries and other goodies (Ralphs service deli special), cold tabouli salad, mac & cheese, sparkling water. After Dinner snack = grapes and a few bites of gelato (made my FI take it in the other room!) Exercise =  more schlepping of my kit back and forth from different locations, including carrying everything up and down stairs.

Today: Breakfast = cup vanilla yogurt and half a piece of my MIL's homemade pumpkin spice bread and starting my week off with a huge portion of ice water. Got to keep track of my water intake from now on!

*Sorry this was so long and detailed. I just copied and pasted my personal food journal.

**Also considering joining Weight Watchers this week for extra accountability. I've done the WW program before (back in 2006) and it worked, I lost 12lbs. in about 2 months. Plus my Mom just joined and she's lost 5lbs in the last month.

    Have a great week ladies!

  • I did okay this weekend. My class reunion was this weekend, and there was an open bar, so whatever I burned off exercising that morning, I drank back that night. And then the next morning, since we stayed at my parents' house, my dad made us blueberry pancakes and sausage. I tried to keep everything within moderation (I did a crap job of that with the beer Saturday night), and I'm sure I was over my calorie count on MFP, but I had to do a lot of estimating since I was pretty much off my normal menu all weekend.
