Just Dance 3? Anybody try it?

And if so, how fast did you see results? I only did a few songs today and boy was I sweating! The wedding's in a little under 5 months and I wanna lose 20 pounds minimum. 30 would be ideal. So yeah, what was your experience with the game?

  • i think it all depends upon your diet.  No amount of exercise is going to make you lose a bunch of weight if you're fueling with unhealthy foods in the wrong quantities.

    What kind of diet do you have?
  • I do about an hour of dance a day. I can tell its ones my arms and calves but not a lot of weight loss as a whole. That has come frOm me changing my diet. Tomorrow I am going to go to shake and bake to try out the toning equipment and the other exercise equipment they have. It's the closest to my work and home which means I will save almost an hour of travel time which has been a stopping block for me joining a regular gym. H is supporting me so well. He helped me meal plan for 2 weeks and went shopping. No more quick meals relying on boxed crud.

  • My diet isn't anything concrete. I eat what I have in my apartment. I eat gourmet smoked salmon sandwiches Monday - Thursday for dinner since my fiance works at Petit Four as a sandwich maker but I eat noodles and rice with various vegetables when I make for food for myself. I've lost 40 pounds on a diet of tv dinners before so I'm not too concerned about diet as long as it's everything in moderation. Y'know, only eat until I'm full and all that jazz. Oh, and I only drink water and sometimes milk on my own time. I only drink pop and juice as special treats and I don't have them in my home. 
  • Just dance is fun, not sure if its going to show you real results as fast as you would like. If anything its good cardio but not going to tone anything. Diet is very important to loss the amount you are talking about. I love zumba its fun and can tone you up too. Right now I am trying the Insanity challenge with Shaun T. It is insane, but is suppose to give you results in 60 days. My FBIL did it and another friend of mine tried it. Totally works if your up for it!!
  • I dunno if I can do the Insanity Challenge but I might try TurboFire and mix it up with my dancing. I'm not gonna give up on Just Dance 3 either way because it's so much fun and I love competing with my fiance in trying to get the most points. ;D
  • I love Just dance 3!!! It is awesome, so much better than laying down on the couch and watching TV!
    But you should Zumba for wii (or whatever system it is that you have). Those have 45 minute sessions, and it is just as fun. I will play like 45 min of each, back to back.
