Gaylord National

Has anyone looked into a reception at the Gaylord at the National Harbor? Can anyone give me some additional information...price...etc??

Re: Gaylord National

  • Yes - I looked at the Gaylord as a possible wedding venue last year.  The venue is gorgeous! If you use the main ballroom they request a 40,000 dollar minimum - which includes the food and drinks.  You can use a smaller ballroom for less money, but they are not as nice as the main one.  The cocktail reception they have outside of the ballroom - which is in the atrium, which is extremely public and allows access to anyone who wants to just wander in to your cocktail hour (one of the reasons I did not pick this venue, along with the price).  Overall it is a beautiful venue and the water is perfect for pictures, but I believe with that money you can go a long way with using a hotel in downtown dc.  Good Luck and Congrats!
  • Agree with Megg, way too expensive, and I don't like the idea of sharing the atrium with the public. It is a beautiful place (we love to visit)  We scratched it off our list because of the cost though.

Agree with PP's.  The cost is prohibitive to the average bride's budget.  But if it is in your budget, it is a fabulous spot to hold a wedding celebration.
