Hello Ladies...

So, I am looking through lists and lists of first dance songs.  I think I know what I want, but have found some nice alternatives to give a listen to.

Just curious:  What are you all dancing your first dance to?

    my first dance was also Lonestar's amazed,i know it's old but it just fit perfect.

    We are going back to our high school days.  Our song then was  All My Life by Kci and Jo Jo, so FI really wanted that one as it brings back lots of memories.

    The other one i was looking at was You Are by Jimmy Wayne

    I'm curious about the 2nd dance, I've never heard of picking a song for a 2nd dance.

    First Dance: Eric Claptons "Wonderful Tonight"

    I have also never heard of picking a second dance.  

    ChrisNjay: Kci & JoJo, Wow! I haven't heard that since HS!! How many memories I have of that song!  :) Love it!

    yea akardas- i was totally gonna go with that other song til FI called me from on his way home from work and said "i just heard our song on the radio from high school, can we please use this as our wedding song, it pulled at my heart strings and reminded me of us earlier in our relationship" 

    HOW COULD I SAY NO TO THAT?!! LOL

    My DJ gives the option for a second dance where he says that the couple would like everyone to join them in their second dance. It works perfectly for us because I wanted a wedding song but Kiss Me is special to us because I was riding home in the car with him before we were dating and all I wanted to do was kiss him, but I was 13 and shy and he felt the same way.

    What a small world!  I picked it for various reasons, including the fact that I was a huge Hootie fan and have met Darius many times...but I knew I couldn't get away with a Hootie song LOL....and the lyrics are GREAT!!!!!!  I tear up everytime i hear it

    Havent picked one yet...but I either want Bily Joel Just the Way you are OR The Fray Look After You....my husband will never let me do Rascal Flatts but I thought about their song Bless the Broken Road

    nybride:  Nice choice with Foo Fighters!!  I love them... I secretly wanted "The Pretender", but it's sooo not a wedding song.  Just happened to be what was playing when we were reunited after FI's second deployment to Afghanistan.  awww, memories...

    But yeah... back to the topic.  We decided on "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.  That one has meaning too, and the words/tempo work.  :)
