Can't find a venue! Charlotte/Hickory/Lincoln HELP LOCALS!

I am in desperate need of finding a wedding venue.
I grew up in love with an open mountain chapel but due to my fiances gigantic family and their unwillingness to drive 2 hours... I have to give it up.

My dream location, "Pretty Place".


If you know the place you know what kind of look I am going for. Mountain/rustic/quiet.
Nothing compares now to me and it's making finding a new venue impossible. I am trying to block out Pretty Place but it's reeeally difficult since that was my dream location.
Does anybody know of ANYWHERE within an hour of Lincolnton, NC that might work? I have searched google high and low... now I am hoping for some help from locals. Open scenic chapels, barn, ANYTHING. I do not want to be married indoors...

Oh, and I am also open to lake side. Lake Norman or Lake Wylie. Anybody know any pretty spots around there? Thanks!

    Have you tried www.thewillowcreekinn.com? Its in Vale, 5 minutes outside of downtown Lincolnton. Its a rustic/elegant place. They have a lovely antique dining room, an outdoor deck, and then a very large pavilion, deck and patio on a small creek. It's very picturesque - not in the mountains, but in the country, and quiet. He does not do "package" weddings, but instead gets to know you and what you're looking for, so creates a custom menu based on your budget and taste. I think there's a minimum fee/budget, but he doesn't charge extra for the facility, linens, etc. and you have the place to yourself all day. His food is INCREDIBLE. The chef/owner has put together some fantastic events, and I'm going to a wedding there in early October.

    check out the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC - just outside of Charlotte.
