Alterations/Hair/Make-up

I purchased my wedding dress at David's Bridal, but I've been advised not to have it altered there.  Does anyone have any suggestions for an alterations place in Madison, WI?  I picked up a business card from Altered States Alterations at a Bridal Show, has anyone gone there or heard of it?

Also does anyone have recommendations for hair / make-up places on the west side of Madison or downtown area?  Or someone who will come to the site I'm at and do my make-up and/or hair?

    I got my dress altered at DB... it was pricey ($200) but they got it done perfectly in one shot.  My thoughts were that they are very familiar with those specific wedding dresses, so I was more comfortable having them do it. 

    We went to Ultimate Salon and Spa for hair/make-up.  It was nice because everyone's appointment was at the same time.  I was really happy with the way I looked. 

    Anui in Middleton does something similar, I think.  I have had my hair done there and they do a ncie job.
