Does anyone have any suggestions near Alexandria?

Or did you take the online route?

Thanks!

I used Paper in the Park in Severna Park, MD. They were great. I went in once and then everything else was done via email! We ended up using them for invitations, place cards, table numbers and menus

Paper Source in Old Town on King Street.  So far, so good.  We're reviewing proofs right now.  I wanted to use Thistleberry Press (online) but FI couldn't seem to wrap his head around the whole online process. LOL!

    We used weddinginvitationsforless.com:

    Good -
    1)  Saved about $100
    2)  Good selection
    3)  Customer service responsive via email

    Bad-
    1)  Only answered questions & details via email - refused to pick up phone
    2)  Subcontracted printers wasted time misintepreting directions

Overall - was more difficult than it had to be.  We really are happy with the results but these vendors made something easy very difficult.
If you have time, then these people could provide a very good product & pricing!
But on shorter notice - ours from beginning to end was over a 2 week period - it was tough to get everything done & even with emails, it didn't have to take 2 weeks!

Dandelion Patch - I used the one in Reston and worked with Erica.  Very smooth process.  99% happy.  The 1% unhappy is with the manufacturer, not Dandelion Patch.

I ordered through a shop on Etsy. We received a sample and they're so beautiful and way more affordable than what is offered around here.

I also used the Dandelion Patch but I went to the one is Tysons (for save the dates, invitations & thank you notes). I can not say enough good things about them. The are 100% professional and answered the 1000 questions my mom kept coming up with. I can't wait to go back in a few weeks to start looking ideas for the items on the day of (place cards, menus, programs, etc.).

If you're looking for formal, I can't recommend Scriptorium highly enough. However, if you're going for something more casual or modern, they might not be your cup of tea.

Scriporitum is on Cameron St in Old Town Alexandria.

    I used http://www.amilestonepaperco.com/

Sarah Glad, who runs the company, is based out of Minnesota, and she does amazing custom invitations for a fraction of the cost of getting them done in the DC area.  She will do a phone consultation with you and then everything else can be done over email.  She is very responsive and does a great job - she did my save the dates and invitations and I loved everything!
