  DON'T DO IT!! I work at a bridal salon and we have brides coming in frantic EVERY weekend trying to find a replacement dress for scarily soon weddings because they ordered them from a site online and they either a) were scammed out of their money b) received an ugly, terribly made, sub-par dress or c) their order was cancelled or never arrived for some unknown reason. 

  
  

  If you're on a tight budget or timeline try going into boutiques and asking about discontinued or shopworn dresses (most of the time they're marked down significantly) or buy a dress from ebay or a wedding classified site from a bride that only wore it once.

  One of the bridal salons I went into had a display of two dresses: one was ordered online from some foreign site, and the other was the actual dress it showed on the online picture.  The foreign one was awful.  Try pre-owned or sale rack dresses.

  Another option for you is to look into prom or quinceanera dresses, depending on the style you're looking for.  They are generally cheaper than wedding dresses and often have white options.
