Engagement Pics - What Do I Do With Them???

Our photographer blogged one of the photos from our engagement shoot, so it sunk in a few minutes ago that we'll be getting all those photos soon...and nothing to do with them. I'm glad we did the shoot because FI, photographer, and I got to know eachother better, but now I'll have all these lovely photos and nothing to really do with them. The ladies on the DIY board suggested decoupaging our cardbox with a few, but I'm wondering what you guys did, if anything, with your engagement photos? Thanks!

I used ours on our save the date and wedding website.

My FMIL also hosted an engagement party for us and she used the photos to make a photo book that guests signed.  She printed some and handed them out as favors.

Where I live, photos are a staple of the wedding invitation--everyone includes at least one.  Here are some other ideas:

    *  Get some prints made and put them on your cake table, by your guest book, or work them into your centerpieces.

    *  Use them to make a guest book; that way you'll have everyone's comments and your photos to look back on.  Or you can have one blown up and have everyone sign the print itself.

    *  Use them for your save-the-dates.

    *  Use them for your thank you cards or your first Christmas card.

    *  Give prints to your parents or grandparents.

    *  And, of course, you can always hang them in your home!

Most of all, learn from them.  You should now have an idea of how your photographer works, how you two photograph together, how your makeup photographs, etc.  Use this knowledge to your advantage to get fantastic wedding photos!

We made prints for our parents, created our STD with them and made a photo guestbook with them.

You could use them for your table numbers, incoroporate them into your wedding website, or have some on display at your wedding at your guestbook table, gift table, or escort card table.

STD, frame a few for the sign in table, or even a large photo that your guests can sign instead of a guest book (it should be framed and matted without the glass and then mounted afterwards.

We made a photo guest book also and will give as gifts to parents.

It can be used for STDs and to put on the sign in table. The shoot itself is good just to get used to having your picture taken and your photographer.

We did a photo guest sign-in book with ours and I love it.  We also did like the PP--had a couple on the guest book table, cake table, wedding website, etc.

    We're pretty similar to PP's-

    - used for save the dates

    - posted on our wedding website

    - printed a few to frame in our house

    - gave my parents a book of them

    - are making the guest book using them (blurb)

    - had a canvas made of one of the less posed ones (you almost can't even tell it's us) to hang upstairs in our house- with Groupon it was only $45!

    - they'll also be on the photo cards that our photographer hands out at the photobooth (with info on how to get to the pics after the wedding)

Make a photobook with them... what do you normally do with pictures you take?

Also, if you have a wedding announcement in your local newspaper, you can submit one of your photos with the copy.

Thanks everyone! I think we're going to have a few copies printed for parents/grandparents/ourselves (haha) and make a book to use as our guestbook. We aren't doing save-the-dates or a newspaper announcement, and I've never been the type to have photos printed to display around the house, so I think that's why I was at such a loss! I'm sure I'll find other uses for them as I go along, I just needed some inspriation! :)

Blow some up HUGE and have them by the gift/cake table for during the reception. I saw that at a friend's wedding a month or so ago and LOVED it! A guest sign in book is a great idea as well.
