colors

ok so now that I am probably getting married in fall 201 instead of spring 2012, I am questioning if our color choices are now off. Our colors are purple and green.  specifically pantone colors african violet and clover. What do you ladies think? Just fine and who cares because this is my wedding (as the FI says) or doesn't fit and should think of other colors?

the link shows the colors. Just click the link

You really need to see your venue first. I would let that be the deciding factor. We originally wanted red & orange... but it looked very out of place in our venue. We were also able to save tons of $ by switching to colors that matched & saving on having to cover the chairs.

P.S. I think those are GREAT fall colors!

idk if i am going to have a venue that I like so much it will change my colors though.

I just mean sometimes it's easier to blend certain colors together. Like say you love a venue with orange carpets (God willing no venue has those! lol) your colors might not look so good. But it's totally up to you. Like I said, they are definitely good fall colors. :)

If you are going for the fall of 2011(? the last number was cut off) you best find your venue asap!  BTW, those colors are wonderful and will work in the fall just fine!

haha thanks yeah that date setting part happened this week and stressing me out major (see stressed post).  Ok so keep the colors awesome.

thank andee I know I need to find a venue, trust me you have no idea how stressful this all is because basically my wedding got moved up 6 months due to my FI job.  Plus I am out of state bride, we are going to try to come down in august since my FI has to study for the bar which he takes at th end of July.

He is so positive and calm about this whole thing, saying don't worry we will find a nice place blah blah, I'm like are you kidding they are booking up!  haha anyway enough ranting.

Pretty colors. The whole matching colors to your reception site concept scares me a little. I am getting married on Valentines Day so my colors are the red hue but thank god the reception site I picked has red and gold carpet. I know what you mean about stressing over booking the site though. My wedding is in 8 months and I can't book the site until July. Luckily my wedding is on a Monday. Hopefully there will be no fight. Glad that your FI is so calm though. Imagine if he was freaking out too. My FI is calm too. I think I am stressed enough for the both of us.

haha genevie, I am definitely stressed for the both of us. He says the biggest reason he wants to be involved in picking everything with me is to help relieve some stress, but when he gets picky about things that just adds more haha.  I know it will all come together just this change in date was thrown at me at this week and I'd thought I'd have more time originally.

Plus being in another state where we have no close friends or family near by makes it hard sometimes. I can't even look at wedding dresses up here because I have no one to go with :(.   I know pitty party for me haha, I am really not that sad about it just a little stressed about it all.  And my parents are not really big about this so I had to ask them to be apart of going to venues etc (the wedding experience) and haven't heard a word about it back from them yet :(

I'm very much in the same boat at you! My FI is going into his doctorate program so when he got his academic calendar, we had to push up the wedding by almost a year giving us only 5-6 months to plan EVERYTHING including a venue. It's do-able. We just signed with a venue a few weeks ago and we are getting married this August. I am also planning it from Massachusetts where I hardly know anyone and my whole fam is in Orlando- so I also know how you feel on that front too....it sucks! My FI is so supportive and has done everything he can to help with the decisions which I am so grateful for but it is still 10x more stressful to plan from out of state.

GL and PM me if you ever want to vent- I know exactly what you are going through but it is completely do-able.... just harder!
