What's up this week, girls?

WR: I made all the bouquets for the wedding. I got bored and Michael's had a 50% off sale on their flowers this week so I was able to get the yellow roses I needed.

I've been kind of freaking out because I'll be living on Sundays only from here until the wedding (and probably not having a lot of down time on Sundays) and I'm realizing how few days that really is. I know I'll get everything done, but I'm a worrier. I'm usually a procrastinator too so I'm trying to avoid that.

NWR: FI and I are on week 5 of a couch to 5K program. We're technically redoing week 4 because we both struggled really badly with it. I also started dance again, two classes this year. So working 50 hrs a week, dancing two nights, running three, oh and I'm auditioning for a the musical Oklahoma next month. Is she crazy? Yup, I think I am.

deburnin, you're my hero. Seriously. Your flowers look great!

WR: Updated our budget with payments. Cleaned up the binder a little. Researching the Mexican resorts under my mom's timeshare so when the week becomes available, I can snatch it right away lol. I need to get cracking on my hangers again; I had been moving at a pretty good clip until I got swamped with other stuff.

NWR: I started working out again last night! I was going to skip so I could watch the Sons of Anarchy season premiere I DVR'd on Tuesday night, but motivated myself to drag the small stepper into the living room and sweated through 45 minutes of the show. I'm trying to decide how to run my nights after baby boy goes to bed - work out, shower and then study? Or study, work out, shower? Hmm...

I'm also making mine and can not for the life of me get my handle to look like this and this is what I was wanting also. I've googled and watched all kinds of videos. Would you also mine sharing how you done it ?!?!

Not a problem! I should have taken pictures of the steps, but it's really rather simple. What you need:

Flowers with stems cut to how long you want the "handle" to be and extra leaves cut off.
Thin floral wire
Ribbon
Hot glue

Once I got the flowers to look the way I wanted them, I wrapped the floral wire about four or five times near the bottom of the flowers (right where I would want the ribbon to start) and then wrapped around the stems to the right near the bottom and then wrapped four to five times again.

After that I took a piece of ribbon about 3 inches long and hot glued it to the bottom of the stem. Basically folding it up so it makes a U then hot gluing the sides in and gluing them down so that the bottom is all nice and covered evenly. Then I hot glued the end of the ribbon to the bottom and wrapped up to the top were the floral wire starts.

For the extra accent ribbon, I took the piece of ribbon and put a dab of hot glue in what would be the middle of it. Glued it to the top and then did the crisscrosses all the way down. Hot gluing in a few places so that it will stay nicely.

And viola! Flowers! If any of this doesn't make sense let me know and I can try explaining better!

DJ is booked! FI saw the church we're getting married in (he was speechless when we walked in - very cute!).

My FI is trying to get his CPA license. He passed the test, got his masters, but is still working toward the work requirement. He recently learned that the test might expire before he gets the work requirements done (he lives in an insane CPA state). He found out yesterday that he can now get his license in MA where we're planning on living NOW! He's working on his paperwork (it's a bit of a pain because he took the test in another state) but he should be a CPA in a month or so, just not certified in the state he currently works. Which isn't a big deal because he can work toward reciprocity without the exam expiring now. We're both so excited! He's worked so hard for this and I'm thrilled everything is coming together for him!

@BostonGirl- My fiance is preparing to get his CPA too! He has a couple more classes to take and then he'll be taking 1 of the 4 parts of the test around Feb and then continue from there. (He currently works at a tax business group and once he gets his CPA there are talks of a much deserved pay raise. Yahooo!)

@deburnini- HARDCORE!!

WR- We're right about to secure our DJ who we love! Also I was able to reschedule our engagement photos to two weeks from now. That should be plenty of time to find a cute outfit and be prepared.

NWR- I've been staying focused on my healthier lifestyle. I did some vigorous yoga this morning which always starts my day off just right. (Vigorous meaning I couldn't see because the sweat wouldn't stop pouring down.) I've been cooking more than eating out lately. This can be a struggle but I feel so much better eating something nutrious and fresh rather than fast and comes in a bag. Overall nothing too crazy over here, just doing me!

Wow totally missed posting on this - I am going dress shopping on Saturday and hopefully Monday - I am so nervous/ excited and dreading it all at the same time - I just know I can be very picky - and will find something wrong with anything i try on... and not having a dress fit right scares me - I have big boobs and i have hips but NO butt - and well my waist is not exactly tiny - i am anywhere from a size 10 - size 14 - and having no butt doesnt help anything fit right ..

of and we are supposed to be addressing save the date cards -
I still do not have all the addresses I need though - but cant lean on FI too much this week about it with everything else going on -

Good news in the FI aunt soap opera is that she will finally be released this week from the hospital and will be going into a hospice house - temporarily... we still need to figure out turning over her house to the bank and moving FI out of it - anything he wants from the house to storage and him to my parents house (where i still live) and he needs a job up here - but now that we know she has a place to go we can relax a little bit as the time line is no longer have all this done in a few days time - so maybe at max a month to figure it all out - the world of medicare / medicaid and nursing homes and hopsitals is insane and waaay more complicated than any normal person can maneuver on their own
