Does anyone have any connections with a UD student or friend that would be interested in being my videographer? I have been on the fence on whether or not I'd like to have a videographer, and ultimately I think I will regret NOT having one... but obviously, don't want to spend a ton of money on this. I'm hoping to spend $750 at the most for one person to come film our special day - mostly ceremony through the majority of our reception, so about 5 or 6 total hours. There is a guy named Jack Otepka that is around 875ish I think...that is above what you wrote, but I think he had less expensive packages as well...I found his info through the Philly board. We ended up going with someone else, but his work seemed nice and he got back to me pretty quickly when I emailed him. I think he used to work with another company and went out on his own....HTH

Martin's may be willing to work with you, they are not totally outside your budget.

DH's cousin did ours, he is a film student at UArts. He charges less than that, and that includes editing; he lives in DE so he doesn't charge for travel. If you would like his info, let me know.

We are getting ours, (Melissa, owner of Pea Patch Videos) for $700 for 7 hours Her online price says the package we're getting is $1200, but I gave her our budget ($700) and she agreed to do it. My fiance and I both were just really drawn to her work, so we decided to contact her and ask. Lesson learned: never be afraid to ask for your budget price, even if there doesn't seem the remotest chance possible you'll get it!
