Oh dress??? Where are you? (Update)

So, I ordered my dress 4 months ago. The store said it would take 2-4 months to come in, so where is it!?


When should I call them? I have paranoia they haven't ordered it at all and it will take 4 months to come in anyway. In which case I will be a week out from the wedding, and possibly having a nervous breakdown. Esp considering most of the dress is a size too big.

    Eh, I'd go ahead and call just to check.  I think it'll make you feel better to at least get some sort of time line.

    Give them a call now, Hetshup.  It will make you feel better to know what is going on.  I'm sure there's no reason to panic tho:)

    I would also call. A week or so after my bridesmaids/ mothers dresses order was placed at the bridal shop I called to follow up to make sure the order was processed and everything was good to go. I'm sure the bridal shops are used to brides calling in to make sure their dresses were ordered.

    I'd call. They may know how much longer it's going to be, but they may also not be aware that your dress is going to be "late". This way, they can get on top of things.  Good Luck!

    Kat!! You get to have a nervous breakdown instead! I think Desert is under 1 month at this point, oh the time, it just keeps on rolling.


    I will call them today at lunch. I have those dress doubts and think I might just need to put the dress back on.

    Call them and check, it may have just came in or will be in this week... deep breaths.

    Also,  iif they haven't ordered your dress go full out Bridezilla on them!

    Definitely call them even if it's just to put your mind at ease

    Oh and if they haven't ordered it and you have to go bridezilla on them I'll drive up there to be your back up Wink

    Definitely call and see what is going on..you have the right to know and I understand your worry. I bought my dress off the rack and I am still paraboid about going to my dress fitting on July 2nd - like for some reason its not gonna be there , bleh. Paranoia at its best.

    It's weird about time lines - I have known/heard women who were quoted 2 -4 months and it only took a month , where as sometimes it has been well over which sucks as well. Sitting and waiitng is the hardest oart but at some point sometimes it is best to just find out so you don't go crazy. Let us know whats going on !

    OK, I just called. The dress was shipped from Spain last week so they should have it this week. Then I can go in, try it on, and get some new pictures. I guess I should start looking for someone to do alterations.

    That's good ! Hopefully this helps relax you some , definitely do some yelp and google review searches for anyone you are considering for alterations and find someone the sooner the better if possible !

    You've got plenty of time, don't worry!  I'm glad you are getting it soon though, I almost forgot all about my dress in the six months it took to come in.

    NQB-- That's the issue, I forget what it's like and am thinking that I should get a different one. It doesn't help that I was told recently that it's too "spring" and "formal" for my wedding.

    Oh hetshup, how do they know what's right for you to wear on your wedding day?  Wear something that makes you look like you feel to be marrying the man of your dreams!  If that's something formal and springy and pretty, go for it!  It sounds gorgeous and fancy and I can't wait to see it!!
