I was expecting just about $5000 for a tax refund this year. When I filed my taxes a few weeks ago, imagine my surprise when I was told I was getting $1600 (after the CPA is paid). That was money that I was going to finish up wedding planning with. So, we've re-arranged the budget to compensate.
I was expecting my refund in one week from today. I just got on the Where's My Refund site to check the status. Imagine the groaning that happend when a message popped up that said "Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays. You should receive your refund by April 3, 2012."
Ugh! That will be one month and 13 days prior to the wedding. There's a lot to do yet and now it has to wait until April 3 to get any of it done.
