I'm a lurker but I thought I would let everyone know........

......especially cause I know Min, you are traveling.

I just got back from Vegas and somehow Bed Bugs got into my luggage.  I didn't know right away until I woke up yesterday morning with bits all over my hip.  

Apparently them getting into your luggage is fairly common, I didn't stay at a hotel, but a house that I am 100% sure was bed bug free.  

I have had to tear my house apart and wrap everything in plastic, well everything that couldn't go in the dryer and I have a guy coming today to inspect and spray.  

When you get back, you should wrap your luggage and all its contents in plastic. The heat will cause they to come out if they are hiding and they will eventually die.  I will have more info when the guy comes later, which I will happily pass along.  This is such a nightmare and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. 

Min, I hope you have a good visit with your mom, and I never got to say this, but my thoughts are with you.

    How do you know the house was 100% bug free?  Bed bugs have nothing to do with cleanliness.  No one is immune.

    I have a friend who is a bedbug alarmist, too.  She's adamantly against vacations and hotels for this reason.

    <div>I know they don't, but there were none of the signs of them, and I didn't get bit until I got home, I still called the home I stayed in (a house my parents are renting) just to make them aware.  My mom said she has not see any signs of them and no bites.  It was an educated guess.  </div>
