Thank You Cards

I'm finishing up designing/ordering my invites, and I had a question: Are you supposed to send thank you cards to people for attending the wedding, or is it alright to just send thank you cards to guests/people who helped out/gave you gifts? (please tell me it's the latter... >.<)
Don't mind me... I haven't slept since last Wednesday.

  • Only those who gave gifts.  The reception is the "thank you" to guests who came to the wedding.  Cards to those who didn't give gifts can honestly come out seeming like a passive aggressive way of saying "We know you didn't get us a gift" even if you don't mean it that way.

[QUOTE]Ditto everyone else, but also if you're worried about the cost of TYs, there is nothing that says you have to buy the expensive matching TY notes with your invites. Simple Thank You cards from Wal mart are just fine and much cheaper.

<div>Haha, that's exactly what I was about to do (but ended up not doing) when I made the initial post. >.<

I was finishing up my invites, saw the option to order matching thank you cards, had an "Ooooo!!" moment, and then was like, "Wait.. wtf would I pay that much for thank you cards?? O.o"</div>

  • Just to gift-givers.  You don't even have to buy cards-ordinary paper will do.
