picked out the tuxes but have a problem

My FI and I went and picked out tuxes today.  It was very easy picking out the black tux we liked.  Then we came to the color of vest/tie.  I took a swatch of the bridesmaids dress color to match.  of course I pick the one color green for dress that they dont have :( So now my options are go a shade lighter.  Which far away can not tell, but close up can tell they are different.  Or go with black vest and tie.  My FI is wearing a white vest and tie, so it is just the groomsmen we are having trouble with.  What do you think?

    I think the green would be fine, if people are noticing that the green is just a shade lighter, then they are at your wedding for the wrong reasons. But it's up to you, if you think you can live with the color i think it would look fine

    My FBIL just had the same problem at his wedding in Nov.  The girls were in burnt orange and menswearhouse didn't have the color to match.  FBIL wore white and the guys wore champagne vests.  Could this be an option?

    Is there another color in your scheme that could complement it?  If not, I'd just do black and let the flowers do the talking.

    I would go with the lighter green vests. I am sure it will barely even be noticable once every actually has them on under the tuxes. :)

    I agree with mercy4 - do you have a complement color or another color in your scheme?  If so, ties would be the perfect minimal place to have it compared to the girls all in green.
