Salons in the city?

Hi all,

I'm getting married on a Sunday when most salons are closed but now a bunch of family members are asking me to arrange for hair and makeup for them.  I had just asked my stylist if she would do my hair for the wedding and she was a bit reluctant... I don't really want to heap on a half a dozen more people onto her roster.  Any advice?  Will any salons open on a Sunday for a bridal party?  I am asking around but I am kind of nervous about this.  I never get my hair done so I have no idea how these things work.

    Do you mean downtown? Not sure what's open on a Sunday but check Izzazu and Verve right by 6th Avenue.

    Do you have a space that you could have a stylist come to you? If so, let me know and I can recommend my friend, who travels for weddings to do hair & makeup.

    If you have a large group they might consider opening just for the wedding.  I would call and ask just incase.
