instead of a centerpeice, what about a mini cupcake tower with mini cupcakes? FI wants to keep it simple and just have pretty table numbers since we will be traveling, but i think this is so cute!! I liked to idea of a small cake on each table and we go around and cut each one, but FI doesnt like it. plus, people might think its fake and stick their fingers in it. yuck!

I like that ideal, the bakery im getting my wedding cake from had pictures of a wedding they did like that. I thought that was really cute and a way to really cut cost.

I like the cupcake tower. I think you cutting a piece at every table is too much though, unless you have a really small group.

If you had the mini cakes you could invite the couple whose been married the longest, shortest, engaged, and so forth to cut the smaller ones at their table after you cut the larger one

I like the idea too.. FI was in a wedding that did that.. He wanted to do it too but we never revisted the idea again.. but i think you should go for it.. Or you can have different flavors at each table...
