How close are you...

to your goal wedding weight? I'm about 13 pounds away, ugh. I've been working out and trying to eat healthy (could do better at both) and have lost about 8 pounds within the past 3 months. But I really need to kick it into high gear. I had a baby shower and Superbowl party to go to last weekend, and both really threw me off. I'm hoping that I can get closer to my goal in time for my fitting (end of Feb) and that my dress will still fit right if I lose a bit more in March... Was wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing!

  • I just stepped on the scale this morning and I'm at 123.  (goal is 120-125) I haven't been under 125 since eight grade.. Over the weekend I had my first fitting and my mom seems to think I've lost too much weight. I honestly am not doing anything special (don't eat GREAT and exercise 1-3x a week, when I can) but I really think the stress has been causing weight loss.  Not a good way to lose weight but I'll take it until after the wedding.

    Don't worry... still enough time to kick it in gear! Try to have a buddy (whether it be your mom, sibling, friend, or FI) that will help keep you accountable!

  • In an ideal world, I'd be down around 120... but that will probably never happen.
    I'm still about 10 lbs away from what I said I wanted to be for the wedding... I have a fitting next week, but I doubt we'll alter my dress any further.  The back is lace up, so if I did get to my goal wedding weight, I'm sure it will still fit.
  • I am so glad you started this discussion. I having been eating like a 16 year old boy. I am single parenting now bc my FI is out of town for work and he won't return until 6 days before the actual wedding date. I work full time, two kids, Graduate school, and planning this wedding by myself. I am actually watching my body expand daily... I am so depressed bc of this... I don't know what to do. I went to a weigh loss clinic and got appetite suppressors and I'm still eating.

  • I'm about five lbs away. I'm at 135 (which I have been for over a year now and what I weighed my senior year in high school), but it would be awesome to just get a few more lbs off. I have my second dress fitting tonight, so we'll see how I feel after that!

  • I'm nowhere near where I want to be. I tried boot camp, I tried the gym, I tried eating better - but I looooove food and that doesn't work so well.  However, everytime I say I want to lose weight, FI tells me that I look great and he loves me any shape, any size.

    So I'm just going with it. If he loves me, that's all that matters. AND I won't feel bad about eating right up until the wedding!

    For the record, I'm about 145 right now - my stomach and my thighs are what's killing me :(

  • I actually hit my goal weight of 125 last week. I've been right at it so far and it's a bloat week for me. But I am still eating great and working out on track. I did miss two days but I just kicked it in high gear this morning and I think it'll make up for it. I'm really happy with myself - last weekend we saw FI's BM and he even made a comment about how I look great. I haven't looked this way in a while, so I'm really proud of myself. It's been a battle to lose weight/tone with my thyroid disease - but I did it. From today on out, it's really just about maintaining a healthy lifestyle since I'm at a great weight. If I lose a couple more pounds thats okay too, but I'm not expecting too. I can't wait to see how my dress fits at my 3rd fitting on next  Wednesday!

  • I'm down about 15 lbs from where I was before my doctor figured out why I wasn't loosing weight in December. I'm just going to have to accept the fact that I'm not going to be where I had hoped, which is another 15 lbs lighter. It wasn't for a lack of trying. Thank you metabolic system for picking this time in my life to fail me!
