So, I got to thinking that maybe to save more money we could do an appetizer and dessert reception...

    I would be worried that if i had an app and desert reception that it would not last as long.

    We are tossing around the idea of a buffet because that way everyone gets enough to eat. The number 1 complaint I've heard amongst both of our families at various weddings is that plated dinners don't have enough food. We will also be doing appetizers during cocktail hour and maybe some kind of "late night snack" at around 9 or 10pm.
