Different favors for girls and guys

we have different favors for girls and guys and I'm wondering where to place them.  not sure whether to set out the right amount at each table or whether to put them at a table on the way out of the reception. any thoughts?

    What are the favors?

    If possible, I would have them double as escort cards. But it's hard to say if this will work unless you tell us what the favors are. If doing that would not work, I would probably put them all out on a table and people can come and get one.

    Girls are getting spanish fans, guys are getting mini bottles of wine (although i'm pretty sure most of my girlfriends would prefer the wine). i was not involved very much in choosing the favors...
    the escort card idea is great, but I don't think they'd work very well.

    we're not doing a guest book, so i think we'll probably end up placing the favors where the guest book would've gone, on the way out of the reception...

    I would help myself to the wine. Why can't you do just wine? I doubt anyone would want a fan.

    I would skip the fans too. Or you can have them in a basket at the wedding if you are having an outdoor ceremony and you are worried about people being hot. 

    Just buy extra wine and give everyone the same favor.

    I would definitely sneak a mini bottle of wine instead of a fan. If you know the girls would appreciate wine too, why are you giving them fans? Just do wine for everybody, and like a PP said, if it's hot and that's why you have fans, just have baskets of them available to anyone who needs one.
