Our DJ charges $800, he gave us a really good deal thou. If you would like his number/e-mail let me know and I will give it to you! He's amazing! My cousins best friend raved about how great he is! I've never seen him do a wedding, only seen him at bars, my cousins friend seen him and was sooo excited about me booking him!

I am paying $700 for 6 hours.  My DJ was just listed in the Knot 2011 best DJ.  I am using A Bride's DJ.  I highly suggest you check them out.  Their customer service has been amazing.  They have been probably one of the best vendors I have worked with to date.

Range in Northeast Ohio can be anywhere from $500 on the low end on up to nearly $2k (usually for 2 DJs team). Our DJ cost us $600 and did a great job. We wanted (and got) low-key but he kept the party moving. Very classy. We used Joe Wolan of Direct Hits out of Sheffield Lake.

There are decent DJs at all price ranges, IMO. It just depends what you're looking for. What's your budget? I can give you a few names based on that.

I've seen $500-$1400+.  I'd say $600-$800 is a fair middle of the road price for a DJ.

We're using A Bride's DJ, too, and so far have been really happy with the service. They seem to "get" the idea of not wanting the whole cheesy, over-the-top DJ but yet also understand you want the party to keep going! Anyway, $700 for six hours. Good luck with your search!

All of the above pricing sounds accurate. If they are over your budget, I will suggest AWM Entertainment. This is the company I am working with; I know the general manager, they have great prices (6 hour package is $525), and have a great reputation. Check out their website for more information: http://www.awmdj.com/wedding.htm. Good luck and congrats!

I've been comparing prices alot too, and I'm finding anywhere from around $600-$1000 for a 6 hour reception. Keep in mind that if you want them for ceremony music too that will usually be an extra fee. I have decided to go with The DJ Crew after checking out 5-7 DJ companies. They were the only ones who encouraged me to come to a wedding they were doing to see them in action. My sister came with me, and we were both impressed by how they kept the party going with their choices in music and their control of the entire program. Also, they offer discounts for Friday/ Sunday and off season weddings; and they have a referral program: $50 off for you and the unlimited amount of people you refer. Please feel free to use me as your referral; I can use all the savings I can get! And good luck!
