I am trying to figure out the reception layout and am confused as to where our head table should go. We are having a small wedding in April and our reception venue is limited in space. Can the head table go on the dance floor and then be moved once dinner is over? What are the pros and cons of this? Also, who would be in charge of tearing this down?

[QUOTE]I'd skip the head table and do a sweetheart table. What are you and the WP going to do for seating once the table is broken down?

[QUOTE]I figured that after eating we wouldn't have much of a chance for sitting since we will be mingling with the guests and dancing.

Sorry, but everybody needs a place to sit. Not everyone is going to dance or even want to get up to mingle. And not providing seats to elderly guests or persons for whom seats are medically necessary is bad hosting.
