DIY Ribbon flowers-PIP

I ordered silk flowers a couple of months ago and the 'turquoise' as they called it came completely royal blue. After searching and not finding anything, I deiced to try to make these to put in the bouquets of chocolate brown tiger lillies and mini white calla lillies to help tie in the color. These are the first 3 so I hope they get better each time!

EDIT: I have some corsage pins with me that have the pearl on the end. Just stuck one of those bad boys in the center of one of the flowers and I kind of like it. Now I'll just have to make a mock bouquet in the morning and see how they look in it.

Oh not that many, maybe 10-15. I just want a few to go in the bouquets, there's only 2(me and MOH). My first try I made it pretty big and it just looked odd. I think with wider ribbon they would look better with that many folds. Once I got the hang of it a bit, it really took maybe 5 minutes each and most of that was wrapping floral wire and tape to make a stem.

I went to a wedding that used flowers made from silk and other fabrics. It was one of the most unique weddings I have ever been to. I'll post a picture later when I'm off the iPad.

Color me impressed! I have a hard time coloring inside the lines still.  They are really cute and tiny and a nice touch! Can't wait to see the final out come!

Thanks, ladies! I have about zero artistic/craft ability so I was excited about how easy these were. I showed FI this weekend and we threw together some of my flowers and added these to see how they'd look being so small. They work pretty well and he even suggested putting them in the middle of the mini callas. Tried that with a couple and I think it's going to be awesome.

Hopefully I"ll get to steaming those silk monstrosities this week so I can start making my bouquets!
