Make up and Hair

I have some one taking care of the hair for the girls and I had a long time friend doing the make up, but she had to bail because her full time job won't allow weekends off for the rest of the year. I ended up finding another make up girl through my hair girl, but she's a bit pricey. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I just wanted to clarify. Would it be a no-no if I I paid for everyones hair, but only paid for make up for me and my MOH who happens to be my sister and is not make up savvy by any means?

I won't tell you what to do, but here is what I'm doing.

My girls are paying for their own hair/makeup if they want to. I won't be giving them any advise on how to where it or requesting it done a specific way. If I was to say "all girls must have their hair up and curled" then I would pay for them to do it that way. I will have a girl on site to do things will get a head count in advance, but that's an expense that is up to them.

That's a good idea. I'm worried a few of them will be too heavy with their make up if they did it on their own.

I'm doing exactly what wcasar is doing. The girls can get their hair and make-up done if they want but the cost is up to them. I found the cheapest person I could possibly find who does a great job.

I'm doing the same basically, hair is paid for and they all know make-up is available if they are interested. I am not requiring any specific look, we agree that it should be natural pretty for the overall look. No one has to have hair up or down its more a treat than a requirement. I trust all my girls I requested tht no one wear orange lipstick or feather lashed lol they know what's up.

I am not even getting my hair done professionally so everyone is on their own for hair. I am getting my makeup done by a Mary Kay rep and offered the girls to do the same (at their own cost). I am not requiring they look a certain way at all. I did ask that they go easy on it and not have crazy dark makeup. I'm more of a naturally made up person but I said this more because FI hates makeup and if they wear crazy stuff he's just going to pick on them the whole night haha. Originally 4 of my girls were getting makeup done and 2 opted out. Now that they actually have to order the makeup and pay for it (with the MK rep you pay for makeup not the application) it looks like it is going to be 3 and 3.

I am getting my hair and make-up done but I am leaving it up to my BMs if they want to have theirs done as well or if they want to do their own. If they want to have their hair and make-up done they will have to pay for the cost on their own.

I am doing my own makeup, and maybe my own hair. I did give the girls contact info of people that way if they wanted someone to do it, but am not paying for it. I am giving no guidelines for hair/makeup so I am comfortable with not paying for it. They are adults and can select something that will look good on them.

I'm in a different situation so I won't say what I'm doing.

I think though, you should just say you would like if they took a _________ route with their makeup. Let them know you don't have room in the budget to bring someone in for them, but they are welcome to use professional services if they like.

If there is some reason that you want their hair a certain way, I would explain. Such as, I would like if everyone had their hair up b/c it will probably be windy. You'd rather they fight tears than their own hair. Basically, if there is a practical reason you want their hair a certain way voice that. Not just b/c its pretty.
