New Best Man

At dinner tonight FI tells me that while we were apart this weekend doing our bachelor/bachelorette stuff he decided to ask his best man to step down and to ask another guy friend to stand up with him.  The new BM has already gotten measured. 

This is a good things since I was never a big fan of the old one.  He is somewhat self-centered and FI finally realized that it was more important to have someone up there that really supported him.  I'm really proud of him and much happier with the new selection.

    I don't care what etiquette says.... sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!! Glad things are better for you. I've had enough WP drama that I fully support kicking people out if needed! lol

    We've had more drama from my fiances side, and no drama from the girls. Thankfully its not his best man, but some of the other guys. They make me so mad.

    oh gosh.  I really don't understand this.  I guess if all parties are ok with it, great for your FI, but I can't imagine that no feelings were hurt.  What did the original BM say?  Is he still a GM? 

    Maybe it is just a guy thing though.  FI asked me if I was going to ask another friend to be a BM if my pregnant BM didn't end up coming.....umm no!

    Supposedly feeling weren't hurt too badly because he is still attending as a guest and they continued to hang out at the bachelor party. They either talked about this before then or early on (it was a tiny low-key gathering). We were only having a BM, so there isn't another role for him in the wedding. I wish this would have happened earlier, but I'm glad it happened before the wedding.
