out of town guests wanting to camp???

I have a group of college friends who are a little unconventional, (one has been traveling around Mexico in a van with her bf, sleeping in it every single night.)
So they would rather pitch a tent in someone's yard, but whoever that someone is (a friend's parent, etc) that person is going to feel awkward and obligated to invite them in or take care of them, which is not what I want.  I wish they would just stay in the hotels we suggest LIKE NORMAL ADULTS!!!   And Cincinnati is not a camping type of location.  And there are no hostels in Cincy, as far as I know.  What do I tell them?

What part of town are you looking? There is Miami Whitewater on the West side, near Harrison.  There is Winton Woods, kind of centrally located.  Hueston Woods out toward Miami U in Oxford. There would be a few choices.

Oh my gosh! I cracked up when I read this - your friends sound hilarious and a little crazy but fun. Here is a link I found with a list of campsites in the Cincinnati area. Good luck!

There are plently of places to camp around here, as PP have said. Also, since when are adults not allowed to enjoy camping? They sound very fun! :)
