marriage license appointment

Just curious, for those of you that made appointments to get your license, were they pretty much on time?  I'm going to make an appointment the same day we do our tasting at our reception venue, and I'm not sure how much extra time I should allow in case they're running behind at the gov't center.

    I had an appointment and we got in early - I think it all depends on the time of day you go, though.  We went mid-morning on a Thursday, and the place was deserted.

    I made an appointment for like 4pm and we were taken in early too. I think it is smart to make one in case there are long lines but I don't have any advice for whether the appointment helps when there are long lines...

    We went to the Human Services Building in St. Paul. We made no appointment, walked in, took a number, filled out the form, raised our right hands, signed there and all done in 15 min.

    We never made any appointments. We went to the licensing center in our county, filled out a sheet, and paid our bill. We were in and out in no time at all.

    We did make an appointment at the Henn. Co. service center at Southdale and still waited 45 min....was not happy. I guess just realize that even with an appointment, you may not be seen at that time and may have to come back another day if you have somewhere else to be.
