What did you ladies accomplish last week? Got any plans for this week?

I'm making my appointment today to go bridesmaids dress shopping next weekend. I went once before with four of my five girls. I think only two are coming this time, but it's the one who missed it last time and my MOH, so it'll be a good trip. I intend to make a final decision this trip too.

I haven't done much wedding related stuff this week. Just sent out a few e-mails about the catering initial contract, DJ contract, and looking for a JP.

NWR- FI and I went to Maine for a much needed get away. I basically hadn't seen him for more than 0-3 hours/day for about 2 weeks. So it was fantastic!

I booked my officient on Monday and I'm going to try and schedule consults with a couple florists.

Bar, what part of Maine? That whole state is one of the prettiest places I've ever been.

I got our save the date sign about 3/4s done, started a test run of a centerpiece, and...I'm mailing the contract & deposit for our DJ today!! I'm pumped about the DJ, because I feel like (so far) that was the hardest vendor to book. I had a tough time finding one who wasn't crazy/overbearing/cheesy/outrageously priced. The DJ was the last major vendor we had to check off the list, so I feel like I can coast for a little bit now.

Emily, we went to Portland then stayed in Ogunquit and hung around that area for a while. I love it there! But it's so touristy that a lot of the places were still closed since it's still "off-season" but it was still great! I love going to Maine, it's the perfect relaxing weekend trip!

Not really accomplishing anything yet... Still trying to figure out when I can try to meet with the florist with my dad. I have no choice but to wait until a random saturday my dad might have off, so who knows when that will be. Otherwise I think my next checks will be to start asking my bridesmaids in the coming weeks. I wrote them all a little note about why I love them and asking them to be my bridesmaid with some pictures of us and had them framed. It was a pretty easy project that I am hoping they will find to be sweet. I am asking one in two weeks and one in a month at her grad party, the other two I haven't quite figured it out when yet lol.

FI and I booked our hotel suite for the weekend of our wedding. We had the room on hold but decided to just book it so that there weren't any issues in the future (I have read so many horror stories about mix ups with hotel rooms and contracts).

I talked to my photographer who will be sending me our engagement pictures either today or tomorrow FINALLY! Also booked my first dress shopping appointment for next weekend!
I also plan on calling the florist today to set up an appointment. I feel like once we hit the one year mark it is going to fly by!

I haven't done anything

I feel so stalled! I have all of the major things booked and can't figure out where to go next. I want to work on stuff and get it out of the way, but I don't even know what I could work on this far in advance?

I actually think I will get to see more of mine here soon, she makes a slideshow of several for all to see and then sends all of the pics to us on a flash drive.

Jenn, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I have everything major booked except for a florist and baker, which I'm not as concerned about getting booked before hitting the year mark. My next step I've decided, is to pick out my BM gifts and slowly begin purchasing them, one everytime I get paid is what I'm planning. I'm getting each girl a Vera Bradley wristlet and then putting something personal to them in it. Like one of my BM's is getting her Phd in Anthorpology and loves real amber jewelry, so I'm going to get her amber earrings to match her necklace. I'm also scouting for things to make welcome bags and inexpensive decor pieces like ribbon in our colors.

I havent really done a whole lot lately. Just emailing DJs and trying to set up some meetings for next week.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled unexpectedly on Monday night and I am still hurting and just laying around not worrying about wedding stuff lol.

I haven't done anything in awhile either. I have all the major things booked and I have my dress. I just recently asked my bridesmaids too. I don't know what to do next. I'm thinking about a videographer but they are so expensive I don't know if I can justify spending the money.

We're going through the 152 page book our officiant sent, to start putting together our ceremony.

NWR: my son broke his wrist at school today. They set it in a half cast, and we have to see an orthopedic doctor on Friday. No soccer or gym or recess, poor kid can't even play video games, as the splint covers his entire thumb and arm.

They have it set up so I can't copy and paste so I have to wait until I get the actual disc of pictures with the rights to copy! Once I get that I will share! It's SO exciting to be able to pick out a STD picture and see what our STDs will really look like!

I have to set a date to get our e-pics done. My FI has been traveling and I have a feeling we are going to end up waiting until the fall. Once June hits its gets hot in Texas. Heck its getting pretty warm now. We've been in the high 80's. I'm kind of impatient I want to do them sooner rather than later.

We just booked one of my best friends to do our engagement photos this summer! I've been nervous to ask him to do our wedding because I don't want him to feel like he has to work instead of playing at my wedding! He was SOOOO thrilled that I asked him to do our E shoot that I may bring up the wedding and feel it out! Im so excited though!!!

After wedding dress shopping this past weekend with my mom the FI and I managed to start our registry, just incase some people want to give us engagement gifts and will continue to manage it as our big day comes. We also met with two photographers this week and will hopefully decide soon which one we are going with (our date is held for 7 days with one, 14 days with the other). I've priced out a few dj's, but I'm still looking for other options as well. Still have floral and cakes on the to do list before I go dress shopping in two weeks with my attendants. None of them know I went with my mom, not that I don't think they would mind. I just wanted it to be something that we could share as I am her only daughter.
