I had three flower girls. Ages 7, almost 5, and almost 4.

Oh, it was the 7th wedding for the 7 year old.

My niece was our flower girl and she is 8.  I'm pretty sure I was also 8 when my oldest sister got married.  My niece is tiny...I on the other hand was not...lol =)

I think up to 8 is fine. I don't think they should be much younger than 5 though, just because they seem to do better if they're a little older.

Very good point...we were at a wedding once with two really young little girls as flower girls and they were fussing during the ceremony and trying to talk to their mom in the front row. Oyyy...they sure were cute though =)

We are using my niece who will be 2 1/2 for our flower girl and also a 6 year old (there is some family-drama going on there, so that's a potential as of now)...  I am leary of the younger one, but she's my niece, her mom my matron of honor and I figure at the least she can walk down with her mom and can go sit down with my mom after she walks down if she wants.

I think 7 is fine though!

Im going to have two flower girls both of which are around 7. I think that its perfectly ok. I was wondering at first if that was to old but then again its not something taht we should worry about. I think the main point of a flower girl is that you get to ask a little girl to be part of your wedding day and get to see and enjoy the excitement that she has for you!

I think 7 is a great age for a FG!  Mine were 4, 3, and 2.  And the 2 yr old was a little whiney on the day of so I would definitely recommend using one over the age of 3!

I don't think I'm going to have a flower girl... my daughter is 8 but will be 9 when we get married. She is going to be the "Jr. Bride" (she is so excited lol)

She was a Jr. Bridesmaid at my brother's wedding 2 months ago, and let me tell you, my ADHD child AMAZED ME! She was PERFECT! ... I was so proud of her :)

My FI's cousin wants to be a flower girl but she's 15! She's super darling and I'm touched that she wants to be in the wedding, but I'm not sure what role she should assume.

Do we make her the flower girl since there are no younger girls in the family? I don't really care that she's older than the traditional age but I don't want her to feel stupid. Could we do a twist on the flower girl and have her do something different like hand flowers to people? Any other ideas?

My mom has started referring to her as a "junior bridesmaid" but I don't know what the role of a JB is. She is exactly half my age so it's not going to be appropriate for her to part of most of the bridesmaids activities (and there won't be a lot until right before the wedding because it's out of town and we're all flying in). Is it just kind of an honorary thing so that she could be in the actual wedding, but that's about it?

Thanks! Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated!
