Best time of year to have a wedding

When is the best time of year to have a wedding in our area? Not just price wise, but weather, traffic, etc. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

    I don't think that there is a blanket answer for this. It depends on what you are looking for. Do you want a beach wedding? Then probably late spring to summer. An outdoor wedding? Avoid all the potentially rainy months. If you are near Huntington Beach, watch when they are having their marathon and surfing contests. If you are near the OC Fairgrounds, traffic will be tough during the fair.

    I don't think that there really is a bad time of year to have a wedding. It depends on what you are looking for. Just be aware of what is going on in the area of the venue. Talk to your venue about these things and see if there is anything major going on.

    I agree with staar987. The high wedding demand is summer months so if you want to avoid high costs get married in the winter but if you want a beach-y wedding with beautiful sunset than summer is your time.

    I think PP have given you great advice.

    The beauty of SoCal is that we don't have ALL seasons. Meaning a hot summer day lasts until September and winter doesn't begin until early Jan. We have maybe a few weeks of windy fall days so it really depends on what you want.

    If you want sunny bright days, anywhere from May - October (we do get some rain in May so an outdoor wedding in May wouldn't be ideal)

    Super Cold and winter wedding would be December - March maybe early April.
