Something happened to my back in the middle of Jazzercise yesterday and now it's killing me! And of course we're going to Lubbock this weekend, so I can't imagine this 5 hour car ride is going to be much fun...ugh!

I have nothing really. Except FI took his car keys with him. I needed to get our replacements a couple of gloves for the game tonight. Guess where the gloves are?

Seventh Anniversary 1000 Comments 25 Love Its Name Dropper

I flame all the Penn State students who were rioting in the name of Joe Paterno after his firing. While I agree that he is a college football institution in himself, I am disgusted with all the forthcoming information about his knowledge of what happened under his nose for so long that went unreported. At least he owned up and admitted that he could have done more, but his non-action could have saved dozens of young boys from the sexual predator in their midst. More than 40 kids? Disgusting.

I flame our cats for peeing in our closet... We keep a litter box in there, and lately the smell had been getting stronger. Just thought we needed to get a new box, but noooo. Apparantly our attempts at getting our cats to get along with each other (we each had our own and then moved in together) resulted in territory marking or something. Had to throw out some of FI's shoes that got hit, but now I also I get to spend the weekend trying to get the carpets cleaned. lovely

I hope it's ok if I pop in just to say that I agree with this and I'm feeling really sad about the news right now. I think one of my friends summed up myfeelings about it best: "I wish I lived in a world where thousands of college students took to the streets last night to express the incredible rage and sorrow at sexual abuse and the institutions that perpetuate it." Besides all the problems with supporting someone who covers up something like that, the disproportionate response is just really sad when you think about it.

I'm angry the guy who saw the abuse happening still has a job.  Yes, you were a grad assistant and yes, you reported it to your boss, but grad assistant does not mean incompetent.  He's as culpable as the rest of them for allowing this to continue.
