How far along are you in your planning?

Hey ladies! So we're all under a year now and I'm curious, how far along are you in your planning? I have my dress, the venue, and a billion ideas, but I feel kind of helpless and no clue where to go from here.

I feel SO behind!! I don't have a venue yet, dress I don't plan on getting until 6 months out (trying to lose weight until then!) and ideas are coming to mind, but nothing set in stone yet... 6/2/2013 is going to come REAL quick, I know, and it's causing a bit of anxiety not having anything yet...

I completely understand how you feel. I got my dress as a fluke really. Just stopped by David's to see what they had. They didn't really have anything then they brought out "The Dress" I tried it on and it happened to be 80% off so I bought it. We are having a DW, but it's so hard to plan anything from here. It's at a beach house so once I picked the house, I had my venue lol.. Now It's like what should I do.. I have a ton of ideas but I kinda feel like they're everchanging (if that makes sense). This year is going to fly by!

We have quite a bit- Venue (reception and ceremony), photographer, DJ, wedding party is asked, BM dresses picked out, Officiant (FI's cousin). I'm going dress shopping in two weeks. FI's mom just booked our RD venue today, so we'll have to start looking for caterers for that. I ordered some silk flowers to make my BM bouquets out of. Fi is getting excited and antsy, so we're thinking of setting up a cake tasting soon. One of our GM's is a professional photographer and is going to do our engagement photos in August for us.

Wow, that seems like a lot, but there's so much detial to work out.

I have what I thought was most of the big things done but now I've made a new list of other big things that we need to get done by the end of the summer. So far we have our venue (ceremony & reception), DJ, photographer, photo booth, my dress, WP picked & asked, caterer and our rings. My new list includes hotel block, shuttle to and from the hotel, cake tasting, save the dates and looking into tuxes & BM dresses. It'll be the details that do me in later lol.

I have the venue, honeymoon in place since were getting married in Cabo. But till in final details about food, cake, photographer, flowers as far as the dress goes I have a bunch of apts in August after my bridal shower. I am so excited!

We have our church, venue, DJ, photographer, save the dates, WP asked, limos, day of coordinator, our wedding bands, my dress, and my shoes.

We still need to do invitations, flowers (I have an appt Thursday because my friend called and said they are booking up for next year already), hotel block, shuttles, favors, cake and cake tasting, tuxes, BM dresses, and choose our menu through the venue. (feel like I'm forgetting something.)

I also have a million ideas for things like favors, colors, personal touches, centerpieces, etc. It helps me if I write them down, rip out pictures, print things out, and as funny as this sounds, pinterest has really help e keep trac of ideas that I find that I really like. Maybe those things will help you sort out what you like and don't like.

I have the venue (reception and ceremony in the same place and it includes food, drinks, linens, etc.), DJ, photographer/videographer, and I have my dress. We are trying to get everything together early, since FI will be in his last year of college full time + working full time, so we don't want it to be too overwhelming with wedding planning on top of everything.

We have the venue, the guest list and putting a down payment on the photographer today.. I've asked my girls for the bridal party but he hasn't asked anyone yet... other than that everything else is only ideas

I think since you've only been engaged for a week it's not bad at all! It took FI and I a good month or two to get going with all the planning, the first few weeks we've just enjoyed being engaged.

I've got the ceremony/reception venue, hotel suite/block, officiant, photographer, band, rings, wedding party, my dress is purchased, bridesmaids dresses are picked out, Save the Dates (I can't bring myself to write STD's LOL) are getting sent out within the next two weeks.

At this point I have my dress, venue, church and officiant picked out. We have also paid the DJ in full, put down the deposit on the florist, caterer and photograoher/videographer. We have also picked out the bridesmaids dresses. I have the invatations and save the dates picked out but I am not sending out my save the dates until January and the invitations are going out in late march or early april.

Dress, accessories, officiant, venues, photographer, florist, one bridesmaid dress (4 to go), save the dates, cake-- done Have to book a DJ, order tuxes, print invites, mail save the dates, the 4 bridesmaid dresses, hotel block, DIY centerpeices, cookie & candy table, seating chart, alterations to dress, ordering wedding bands Helps that I've been engaged now for two years. I did find out what band he wants, so it's just a matter of ordering it.

Omgosh.. I feel really behind now lol. We've been engaged since LAST june and I'm just now starting my planning again! Time to get my butt in gear! Is anyone worried about changing your mind between now and then?
