Mary Kay?

Has anyone used a Mary Kay consultant for their wedding day makeup or have any opinions about it? Someone I work with is a consultant and offered to do my makeup and the bridesmaids' too for free. I feel a little concerned that the products might not last the day as well as the products used at a salon. But I don't know if that is founded on anything or if I've just been to too many Mary Kay parties.

I was in a wedding that did this. the make-up lasted all day. everyone applied it themselves though at least that was how the consultant that day did it.

I am using a Mary Kay consultant! She is great. She charges $20 a face because she is really, really amazing at applying make-up. She has actually earned 12 Mary Kay cars in her career! LOL I use Mary Kay now... I met with her last week and got on a good skin care routine. I had these crazy bumps all over my forehead... I could not get rid of them. I started using their TimeWise skin care last Thursday and the bumps are 100% gone. I would imagine it would last all day... you could maybe purchase a face powder or something from your lady to touch up throughout the night, but I have always known their products to be amazing :)

If you're looking for someone to actually apply your makeup just make sure you get someone who has good recommendations. I say this because one of my friends is a MK consultant but doesn't have any background in how to apply makeup & wouldn't even want to do her own for her wedding. So have your friends or the ladies here help you pick the one you use!

Yes! Good point. I sold Mary Kay once and no way would I do a wedding party. I can't hardly do my own make-up!
