Out-of-state brides- a dress question

Hi ladies! if you were/are flying to the Cape, are you flying with your dress or shipping it? Any tips would be appreciated, because I really don't see how I can fly from LA to the Cape for 2 weeks WITH my dress in tow, but I'm scared to ship it.

    Alot of Brides will fedex them to the hotel.

    I also am facing this problem, my wedding is August 25th, and I am shipping my dress this Thursday.  After doing some research, I am just putting it in a big box with lots of bubble wrap and insuring it.  I would recommend having it shipped to someone you know at your location so they can open it up for you and make sure everything looks okay (and leaving yourself some extra time between its arrival and the wedding just in case something happens!)  Then just line up a local place to press or steam  the dress for you!

    My wedding is not for a while but I will also have to send it somehow? I think I will probably just pack it myself carefully and ship it, I would definitely insure it though!
