jeweler suggestions

Anyone have any suggestions for reputable jewelers who have a good selection around Boston?  FI's friend is supposed to make our wedding bands but has been impossible to contact since we sent the design.  We're still hoping to reach him, but I want a plan B with only 2 months left before the wedding.

I am reluctant to go to a mall jewelry store, especially since my e-ring is yellow gold and most rings nowadays are white gold- I want to make sure I have some yellow gold bands to choose from.  Budget is a consideration, too.

Thanks!

DH and I bought our bands at Ross-Simons. I've also heard good things about Boston Ring & Gem and Serjeo.

We used Serjeo in the jewelers building downtown and can't say enough great things about working with him!

We used DeScenza at the jewelers building in Boston.  They came recommended by a coworker and I can't say enough good things about them.

FI got my e-ring at Ohanian's in the Jeweler's Building in Downtown Crossing - we plan on going there for our bands as well.  The guys in there are super nice.  I don't remember his name, but the salesman we worked with has big white beard.

There are two Jewelers buildings, this one is in the one to the left of DSW.

We used Barmakian Jewelers.  We had a great experience with them.  I thought they had a great selection and were priced reasonably.  Customer service has been top-notch as well.

We also used Barmakian. I can't say we really shopped around but we were happy with them and their selection. The only thing i would say is get everything in writing-- they had agreed to give us our wedding rings at a discount because of the whole tax free weekend thing, then when we went to pick them up and pay the balance, the guy helping us didn't have that info so H had to go back on a day when the original manager was there. Not a big deal, but annoying.

We used Sergeo downtown and everything was perfect and on time, no complaints!

If you're looking for custom made, I would suggest Daniel M on Etsy.  He does fantastic work and is very reasonably priced.  He made my engagement ring, and will be doing my wedding band to match.

Leo Carroll Jewelers in Cambridge.  Ask for Sean Carroll.  He will get you what you want if he does not already have it.
