September 2012 Weddings

Accountabilty - Friday

We made it to Friday! Yay! What is everyone's weekend looking like? Going to be able to stay on track?

Tomorrow I am driving with FI 7 hours north for my cousin's wedding, and back in the same day so I don't think I'll be getting much in as far as working out. I have already started packing a lunch bag for us (its in the fridge at home) with healthy snacks so we aren't tempted to stop along the way for fast food or anything.

    Woohoo I finally ran last night!  For the first time in a looooong time.  It felt pretty good.  FI came with me and normally he does laps around me (I'm super slow) but because he ran earlier in the day already, he ran alongside me to keep me pushing.  This weekend will be a flop because I work half of Saturday and all day Sunday plus am finishing up that one class (only 8 days until it is done yay), but I'm glad I'm doing little things to get myself pumped up once I have more time to workout.  Come next Sunday when that class is over, I'm working out HARD through the wedding (well, past the wedding for healthy purposes but no more slacking off until then).  Hope you ladies all have a good weekend. 

    Oh and we'll ignore the cupcake FI and I shared after our run (at least we shared, right?).  My brother's friend's sister made them from scratch (chocolate peanut butter) and they were to die for!  If we were getting married locally I would have had her do our wedding cupcakes.  She is only in high school and it is her dream to be a baker.  She is incredibly talented.  My mom and I are thinking of having her make mini cupcakes for my shower so we'll call that a wedding check and not a cheat last night haha.

  • The past 3 days I've ran in the morning. I had trouble making myself do it after work because I would always find an excuse (too much to do, don't want to get sweaty, raining, etc). Jogging before work has sucked.. but at least I'm doing it. The bad thing is I'm only managing to get up about 20 minutes early so I'm only running for about 15 minutes :( Hopefully I can work up to longer morning jogs :)
