Does anyone have any good suggestions for funny movie quotes to incorporate into an RSVP card? I'd love to use something like "Rule #76 No Excuses, play like a champion" from wedding crashers. Thanks.

    I wouln't do it.  Some people may be confused and some people may get offended.

    Agreed that not everyone will recognize the origin of the movie quote.

    However, this doesn't mean that you have to stick to the standard "joyfully accepts/regretfully declines" wording, by any stretch of the imagination!  Our wedding will be on a riverboat which goes for a two-hour cruise during the reception.  The standard wording didn't appeal to me either so the wording I used was

    No. ____ are coming along for the ride

    No. ____ wish they could be there

    So I can make sure to get a clear headcount!
    Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

    As long as you have an obvious place for guests to clearly mark yes or no, I think that sounds like a fun idea!   Are you just wanting to have something written on the bottom of the card?  It might be a good idea to use a quote from a classic comedy that is fairly well known.

    thanks everyone. i agree that its not very clear...how about this:

    -Will be there:
        -shakin' my groove thing
        -droppin' it like it's hot
        - laughing at those guys^

    -sorry cannot attend
         -pulled a hamstring
         -will celebrate from afar

    We are a couple who make other people laugh.  The stuffy formal wording wouldn't be "us" at all, so we want to do something funny too.  If you are more laid back in your every day life, your friends and family will get it.  It all depends on what you write.

    If you google "funny RSVP wording" you will get a LOT of suggestions.  Maybe you can find something that fits with your theme?  Good luck!!
