Farmers Almanac

Does anyone have a farmers almanac that can tell me what the weather is supposed to be like for the weekend of June 12th in Ohio?  I am having an outdoor ceremony and wanted to know what the predictions are.

Re: Farmers Almanac

  • Hi there,

You can log in for free to www.farmersalmanac.com and it gives you a long range forecast. Here is the June posting....looks good for you! I hope Mother Nature comes through for you (and me too! my wedding is on the beach).

    June 2010
    1st-3rd.
Pleasant, then scattered showers Ohio River Valley. 4th-7th. Pleasant Great Lakes. 8th-11th. Unsettled weather. 12th-15th. Pleasant conditions. 16th-19th. Showery, then fair. 20th-23rd. Dangerous thunderstorms moves east into Great Lakes. 24th-27th. Thunderstorms from Ohio River Valley north and east, then fair. 28th-30th. More scattered thunderstorms.

    Best of luck!
  • I did the farmers almanac and thought for months I'd be fine with the weather. Then one week out I started checking local forecasts and there was a 90% chance of rain all day for my outside wedding.

Don't stress yourself out. Make a rain plan and be prepared for the possibility of having to use it, but know at the end of the day it will work out and it will be a truly GREAT day, rain or not. :)

*It ended up overcast and warm for my wedding, with no rain until the evening. And my photographer was so excited because apparently that's the best light for photos. So it all worked out, and I worried and worried for no reason. Even if it had rained, it would have been a perfect day. Hang in there!
  • You will not be able to predict the wedding.  Don't stress, it's not worth it for something you have ZERO control over.  It predicted rain for my wedding day, and it was pouring rain until about 7am the morning of...and then it stopped completely and we had a beautiful, bright, amazingly blue sky day.  It started pouring again an hour after the reception ended.  To this day weather.com still says it rained that day even though it didn't.  Just make sure you have a back up plan and then let it be!

Don't stress about the weather....have a plan. My daughter got married in northern Illinois in October. We figured it would be chilly (45-55 degree average temps). We woke up that day to overcast skies....by noon sun came out..yay!....by 3pm it was bright, sunny and 78 degrees! You just never know about Mother Nature!
