Bouquet toss?

I do not like flowers so I want to hold a fan or something like that for the ceremony but I would like to have a bouquet toss and if I throw a fan I might hurt someone any ideas on how I can have a bouquet toss but not have to hold flowers?

Re: Bouquet toss?

  • Make or buy a "toss bouquet" for that. Most ladies these days don't toss their own bouquets because they want to keep them. Either make one yourself out of paper/fabric flowers or real flowers, or buy one from a florist!

  • Michaels has sales on their faux flowers every other week or so, and I believe this coming week is 50% off all spring stems & bushes.  You can make a small bouquet that either matches the centerpiece flowers or your theme colors to toss for pretty cheap :)

I knew I was forgetting one type of bouquet! Faux flowers would probably be the easiest and cheapest route!

  • I'm throwing my own bouquet; I'm a bit traditional but not very sentimental and I have no plans of keeping the bouquet.

Depends on what you want; carry the bouquet and use the fan at the reception then toss the bouquet at the reception. Or fake bouquet to toss and use your fan the whole time.

No sense spending a ton on a bouquet to throw out though, IMHO...

  • I'm probably not doing the bouquet toss, but if it's something you want to do, you can make a small bouquet of faux flowers.  I definitely wouldn't throw your fan though lol.

  • I'm not doing a bouquet toss at all.  If you really want to, then I agree with suggestions from PP.

  • For the rehearsal I am making ribbon bouquets for my girls and me to carry (just as something cute and fun). I'm not on my computer, so I can't post a pic. But you could make something like that to toss. Something like this: http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&source=mog&hl=en&gl=us&client=safari&q=ribbon%20bouquet&sa=N&biw=320&bih=356#i=37 Or this: http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&source=mog&hl=en&gl=us&client=safari&q=ribbon%20bouquet&sa=N&biw=320&bih=356#i=40 Many girls keep their ribbons and bows from gifts (from showers, etc.) and use that. That's hat ill

It wouldn't let me finish my post, so what I was going to say is that's what I'll be doing for my Rehearsal bouquets, and I think it would work great for your toss. Plus, if you use the ribbons and bows from gifts it saves money and it's recycling!

    Here is another pic:

  • My florist is making me a toss boquet. Typicall they're smaller (way smaller!) and I think you could make one from either fresh or faux flowers.
  • My sister had her florist make a toss bouquet out of the leftover flowers from making the BM bouquets.  Her toss bouquet was also left on the cake table which was another pretty decoration until it was time to toss it.  Maybe that is a place where you can store your toss bouquet/ribbon bouquet?
