Let's Play a Game

Everyone say their go to to make them feel better when they're sad

then ask the person above you a question.

I'll go first, hot tea, and a good romance novel, this always seems to put me in a better mood :)

    </div><div>
</div><div>Easy. Totally delish but not good for you soup.</div><div>
</div><div>I cut up 5 strips of bacon into little bits and cook them in a large pot. Add enough flour to make a roux (about 1/4 cup), Slowly add 4 C of chicken stock, whisking constantly.  In another pot, cook diced potatoes until soft. (I use 2 big potatoes but more or less is still good) Add a good sprinkle of black pepper and let simmer 15-20 minutes. Add 2 C heavy cream, and 2 C aged sharp cheddar.  Once melted, serve with chives on top.</div><div>

  • Sounds great! Silly question that probably doesn't matter, just shows my inexperience with life:
You cook the roux and potatoes seperately. When do you put them together, and in which pot? I'm guessing potatoes to roux, but only because you specified that pot is bigger. I really have no idea about most cooking things, I just follow recipes and hope for the best.
