BM Dresses - Vera Wang? Where to shop?

Hi ladies, I am going to look for BM dresses in January with my MOH and one of my BM's - looking to spend under or around $200 per dress.

I've seen some spring 2010 dresses on the Vera Wang Website in the range of $180-$220, which is not cheap, but not over the top either.  Has anyone purchased from the Vera Wang store in Friendship Heights?  What was your experience?

Where else should we look?  I would like to find cute dresses, short to tea length in yellow, gray, or maybe black.  Want chiffon or silk, nothing that looks too cheap, but won't break the bank either.

    Check out Dessy.  They have four different lines and a TON of options.  That's where we're getting ours.  I just told my bridesmaids a color and to keep it cocktail or tea length and they got to choose the style of their choice.

    My BM dresses are from Priscilla of Boston.  They have a great selection of dresses in that price range.  I've even thought about getting a dress for our RD from there.  Good luck!

    We had BM dresses from Vera Wang for my sister's wedding, and we bought them at Jeannette's in Manassas.  We tried them also at Hannelore's, but the colors we wanted were at Jeannette's and their prices were much less.  Our dresses were very expensive (almost $300 w/alterations), but they were long dresses, so I guess the cocktail length would cost less.  We didn't go to the Vera Wang shop, as two of the BM's were from out of state, so we just didn't have time.
