Invitation Input

So.. since I don't care for my month board too much - what do you ladies think about these invitations - FI doesn't really care to be truthful and all my mom gives me is the 'whatever you want line' so I'd like input! The only thing holding me back about them - is the cost and they don't come with reception inserts. I was thinking I might be able to do something on vista print for that?? Or even a DIY one.. I got the lady to come down a good hundred dollars on them and I'm still going to look around to see what else I can find.. I'm starting to get into a crunch tho - they need to be ordered soon.
Thanks!!

The first picture is the one's that I really really like, again with no reception cards:

And this is a picture with just the mason jar invites and rsvp - they are under my budget without the reception cards, I'm waiting on an email back to see how much each one would be with a reception card added in

Very cute!  Is the Mason jar part of your theme?

VistaPrint can be VERY cheap - I found a website that has lots of free stuff, so you'd just have to pay shipping (if you're willing to wait a few weeks, that's only like $6.  If you want them within 2 weeks, it's $15).

I'll find the site for you...

ETA:  Here you go - I found it on the DIY board one day, and it always works for FREE discounts:

You could do the 250 business cards and have that include the reception information.  If you want help designing them, let me know - I've become a wiz at Adobe Illustrator!

I suck royally at designing anything! I was thinking maybe little mini mason jars?? Thanks for posting a link! I'll definitely check it out and see what I might be able to create.
I really want mason jar invites without a doubt.

And yeah its very much part of our theme - centerpieces, aisle decor, signature drinks. :)

I'm just kind of stuck as to whether or not the burlap is worth the extra $150. I love it, and I really want to use it for a table runner.. and maybe in some other way? But if what's keeping me from going for it is - people are just going to throw it away, ya know?

Holy crud, burlap is an extra $150?!  What is it, like $1 per invitation?  That's ridiculous.  Is it attached to something?

I recommend buying those invitations from the vendor since it would be a royal pain to cut out each mason jar, but I can make matching reception cards so you can include them.  Same colors, etc.  Ask her for RGB scores and/or the color numbers (should be a 6 digit number/letters - like 4F7D9E) - tell her you want to match it with paper at your wedding, but we'll use it to create the matching reception cards.

Smile I think it's backed with something to make it more durable? Then again, burlap is also like $10 a yard. I'm really thinking its not worth it either. I'll definitely ask her for that info - and seriously your absolutely amazing! Your going to have to teach me how to do that so I can do it for the directions/map/programs and all the other paper stuff I decided I'd diy. I'm the worst person at designing things - lord only knows how it would come out if I did it myself. I guess I just didnt realize how hard it would be until it's here.

Thanks for helping me think/talk it out! and thanks for being an amazing life saver! I'll PM you the info once I have it! Smile

No prob - the reception cards will be my pleasure, and we can talk about the other stuff off-board.  I'm going to PM you my email address now.

Sounds good to me. I wish there were directions out there for people like me who aren't so familiar with it all.

The DIY board would be a great resource - those girls have great tips and a lot of them have bios with step-by-step instructions on how to do whatever great project they did.

    very cute!

Calindi is right that VP is the best way to go, pricewise. You may have to sacrifice a little like the design you want or whatnot, but it's worth it for the price, if you are spending a little extra elsewhere

The good thing about VistaPrint compared to some of the other companies is that they DO let you upload your own design.  Which is why I love fiddling with Adobe Illustrator - my STDs were totally custom, and I only paid $6 for shipping!
