Walking down the aisle alone

Just wondering if any of you ladies have or plan to walk down the aisle alone.  Were you nervous? or were you fine doing it alone?

My wife and I actually walked down the aisle together.  However, if you prefer to walk alone, there is certainly nothing wrong with it.

I walked alone.  And I was so in my moment, my guests said I stopped and struck a pose.  I don't recall doing that.

Nothing is set in stone yet, my fiance and I will likely enter the terrace together.  We plan to greet our guests during the instrumental prelude, say our hellos and proceed to the canopy together.  I think ...

If that's not how we end up doing it, I'll walk up alone.

I'm debating rather I want to walk alone or have my sons (ages 13 and 11) walk me down.

I walked alone.  I felt it was symbolic of my independence and maturity entering into this marriage. ~Donna

I did it the first time and I'll do it this time too. I wasn't nervous at all. It was like a special private moment as soon as we locked eyes.

I think it's a fabulous idea to walk alone.

I started to choke up a bit walking down the isle, but my son calmed me I looked at him (the groom) and smiled all the way down.

I was planning to walk alone, but because we're honoring my heritage - both my FI and I are being escorted by our moms.

As you enter where our ceremony is, it's circular.  FI will walk around and wait at the back of the aisle, then I will come down the glass elevator and walk around the other way to meet him and walk up the aisle together.  At least that's the plan we have right now.  If it changes, I'll walk alone.

I'm going it alone.  I did the last time, too.   I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was going to but when I started talking about it with my family my dad ask “you don’t want me to do it?” me and my dad have been so close but I didn’t think it was proper for him to give me away again (and after my last post on the etiquette page I don’t think I’m welcome back, but I can think for myself) so we talked about it with my family and joshes and we decided that not only will I walk down with my dad I am walking down with my mom as well (she just went into remission after having cancer at the beginning of the year).

Back to you sorry for dropping my story in there. When I was going to walk alone I was very happy about it I was not worried and that way guests can see you from both sides J just remember to be confident and happy it’s your wedding day do what you want and have fun. Or think of it like this you are the one personally walking into marriage without anyone else because you are strong, smart and independent. That’s how I thought about it when I was going to walk alone

I'm walking alone, the only part I'm really nervous about (well, besides all those eyes on me)is I have to walk down a flight of stairs & I don't know if anyone will be at the bottom to straighten my gown!
